September 8-10, 2021 World Maritime University ran the unique online event that brought together, for the first time, the International Maritime Lecturers’ Association (IMLA) with all three of its Special Interest Groups: International Conference on Engine Room Simulators (ICERS), International Maritime English Conference (IMEC), and International Navigation Simulator Lecturers’ Conference (INSLC).
The headline of this online conference was SEAS OF TRANSITION: SETTING A COURSE FOR THE FUTURE.
The conference provided an opportunity for interdisciplinary discussion and exchange of ideas on issues facing maritime education and training in present era of rapid change in the global maritime community, with a view to harnessing the past to navigate the future.
The representatives from Kyiv State University of Infrastructure and Technologies were Associate Professors of the Department of Language Disciplines Tyron O. and Korieshkova S. They spoke on the topic PSYCHOLINGUISTIC FEATURES OF SUCCESSFUL TRANSFORMATION OF ENGINEERING THINKING IN SPEECH. It should be noted that interesting presentation aroused lively interest and active discussion.
Good news at the conference was that representatives from 44 countries decided to hold the next international conference of the Association of Maritime Lecturers, 2022 in Ukraine on the basis of the National University “Odessa Maritime Academy”.
